Our client is seeking a highly motivated Director of Operations to lead a critical division within their rapidly expanding organization in Springfield, Ohio area. They are a leading global company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of critical tooling and ground support equipment for the defense, aerospace, and energy industries.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all operational activities, including design engineering, manufacturing engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and quality.
  • Manage budgets, monitor revenue margins, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Oversee large-scale projects, ensuring timely and successful delivery.
  • Work with HR to hire and train competent personnel.

What You Bring:

  • A strong technical background in manufacturing, ideally with experience in complex metal fabrication or related industries.
  • Proven leadership experience, with a minimum of 8 years in a supervisory role within a production environment.
  • Expertise in MRP systems and experience with process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A masters degree in business, industrial/supply chain management, or related field is preferred, but a bachelors degree with relevant experience is also acceptable.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite; familiarity with CAD software is a plus.

Salary Range: $140,000 – $165,000
