Our client, a leading international organization, is seeking a National Sales Director for Mexico. This is a pivotal, hands-on role for an experienced sales leader who excels at driving growth, building strategic relationships, and managing complex sales channels. Key Responsibilities

 

As the National Sales Director, you’ll be instrumental in cultivating growth across Mexico. This is initially an individual contributor role, directly selling the full product portfolio while also managing and holding accountable an established, entrenched third-party sales group. Your responsibilities include:

  • Driving Sales: Directly sell the full range of products and services, fostering new business and expanding existing accounts.
  • Third-Party Management: Effectively manage and hold an established third-party sales group accountable for performance, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Strategic Relationship Building: Identify and strengthen key relationships, opening new markets and enhancing efficiency.
  • Market Leadership: Actively participate in sales meetings and trade shows, contributing strategic ideas and gathering market intelligence to refine sales approaches.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure smooth operations by tracking product availability, maintaining CRM records, and preparing all client documentation.

Skills and Experience

 

We’re looking for a dynamic Sales Manager-level professional from a smaller company with:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administrated or related
  • Proven Sales Track Record: Success in sales and marketing with expertise in related activities and business principles, including a strong understanding of gross margin and pricing.
  • Retail & Commodity Experience: Significant experience in the retail sector and a proven track record in non-product customer sales (e.g., services). Experience selling equipment into retail or distribution is highly preferred; CPG experience is not a fit.
  • Relationship Acumen: Excellent relationship development and management skills, crucial for both direct clients and managing third-party groups.
  • Strategic & Operational Skills: Ability to develop long-term growth strategies and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with sales and marketing software, analytics tools, and strong CRM knowledge.
  • Bilingual & Mobile: Exemplary verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills in both English and Spanish. Ability to travel to the US or Europe as needed.
