With an annual revenue of approximately $10 million, they’re a profitable and growing company looking for a talented Operations Manager to lead their team and drive the transformation and growth of their business.

 

Position Summary:

 

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of their factory floor and ensure efficient production processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in lean manufacturing, operational P&L management, and expertise in metal fabrication, welding, and assembly. This role requires a strong leader who can inspire and motivate the team to achieve operational excellence and contribute to the company’s continued success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of the manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, quality control, and inventory management.
  • Process Improvement: Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
  • Financial Management: Oversee operational budgets, analyze financial performance, and ensure cost-effective utilization of resources to achieve profitability targets.
  • Team Development: Build and develop a high-performing team by providing coaching, training, and support to foster a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain and improve product quality standards by implementing effective quality control measures and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols, conducting regular safety audits, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans to drive growth, improve operational efficiency, and expand the business.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in operations management within the manufacturing industry, preferably in metal fabrication, welding, and assembly.
  • Proven experience in lean manufacturing and process improvement methodologies.
  • Strong financial acumen with operational P&L management experience.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse workforce.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in manufacturing software and tools.
